The First Tee of Augusta FRIEND-A-THON is a grassroots fundraising campaign that gets everyone involved in cultivating FRIENDS (donors) for The First Tee of Augusta. Simply ask your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, clients, or anyone that you come in contact with to become a FRIEND of The First Tee of Augusta by making a monetary gift of $10.00 or more. It’s a great youth development program that teaches positive life skills and healthy habits through the game of golf. (We’ve even provided a basic script for you!). Use the form provided to record their contact information and donation. Continue the process until you have made at least 10 FRIENDS for The First Tee of Augusta! Then, turn in your form and funds to The First Tee of Augusta. It’s that simple!

Who is eligible to participate in the FRIEND-A-THON?
Anyone! Everyone! We encourage all members of The First Tee of Augusta, parents, family, friends, volunteers, staff, and those who believe in the great work that we do, to help us make new FRIENDS!
How long does the FRIEND-A-THON last?
The FRIEND-A-THON is a month-long campaign held during the month of May. Forms will be available at The First Tee of Augusta and online at www.thefirstteeaugusta.org, beginning on Tuesday, April 30th. All forms and funds must be turned in by Friday, May 31st.
Where can we get FRIEND-A-THON Forms?
Forms will be available on Tuesday, April 30th at The First Tee of Augusta or online at www.thefirstteeaugusta.org. Print as many copies as you need.
What is the 2013 FRIEND-A-THON fundraising goal?
We encourage each FRIEND-A-THON participant to make at least 10 NEW FRIENDS to help us reach our goal of raising $15,000 and securing Matching Grant funds from The First Tee Home Office.
Are there PRIZES?
Of course! Each FRIEND-A-THON participant will receive ONE (1) FREE Movie Ticket AND an entry into the grand prize drawing for every 10 FRIENDS and funds that are turned in by the deadline. A $100 cash prize and ten (10) additional iPad drawing entries will also be awarded for the “Making the Most Friends” and for the “Most Funds Raised”. Winners will be announced on Saturday, June 8th!
What is the deadline?
Turn in all forms and funds by Friday, May 31st to The First Tee of Augusta. Any funds turned in after May 31st will not be eligible for movie tickets or the grand prize drawing.
How do we turn in the money and forms?
Completed FRIEND-A-THON forms and funds may be turned in to the employee working the front desk in a sealed #10 letter size envelope labeled as follows:
- Name
- Date
- Phone
- Email Address
The employee will log in your envelope. Each form must be turned in with the associated funds. Loose forms and funds will not be accepted. We will give you a call if we have any questions regarding the forms or the funds when it is counted. Forms and funds may also be turned in weekly.
